Neptune is the eighth, and last, planet from the sun.. The planet's color, blue, is due to methane in the atmosphere. Neptune is also named after the roman god of the sea and storms. It was named after him because it is the color of the sea. Galileo suposedly discovered it but Neptune is an ancient planet so the time is uncertain.
